With more than two billion iPhones sold worldwide, the IOS operating system will account for approximately 14% of smartphones by 2018. Released more than 12 years ago, the devices developed by Apple under IOS have become real novelties in the eyes of users.
A bit of history
Formerly known as iPhone OS, the "i" of the iPhone has attached itself to the abbreviation "OS" to form IOS, which is called "iPhone operating system" in English. The OS has undergone many transformations and has been able to evolve by adding new functions with new devices and new designs that have generated a lot of reaction and interest over the years.
The IOS 13
The IOS will be in its 13th version in the year 2019 and will be released to the general public at the same time as the iPhone XI during the annual keynote in September. This version will bring an important change in terms of geolocation since when you lose your iPhone or when you have the vol, it will be able to be located thanks to a very weak Bluetooth signal in order to send its position to the iPhones it crosses in its path. This new technology brought to the latest Apple devices will cost very little power, however, if you don't want to leave any trace of your location, it will be possible to disable this service in your iOS devices paired with your iCloud account.
The "Locate my iPhone" application
The "Locate my iPhone" application contains a few default applications such as "note", "podcast", "Maps" or "iTunes" on all iPhones. The platform also offers the application: "locate my iPhone" which gives you access to the location of your device when it is connected to the internet. Finding the position of a iPhone may therefore seem obvious if we assume that everything is already well configured.
